Traveling to Ireland?
Planning to travel to Ireland? Let me take you on a journey we recently made—starting in Dublin and looping through historic towns, dramatic ruins, coastal charm, and iconic castles. From the literary energy of Dublin to the quiet beauty of Tintern Abbey, kissing the Blarney Stone in Cork, wandering medieval Kilkenny, and standing riverside at King John’s Castle in Limerick—Ireland is a land where every corner tells a story. Let’s go.
Starting in Dublin: Pubs, Poets, and Packed Streets
Dublin was our entry point, and it wastes no time in winning you over. The city pulses with character—home to legendary writers, buzzing pubs, and welcoming locals.
Highlights in Dublin:
Trinity College & The Book of Kells
Dublin Castle
Temple Bar (yes, it’s touristy, but it’s fun!)
Guinness Storehouse
St. Patrick’s Cathedral
We walked the River Liffey, enjoyed traditional Irish music over a pint, and wandered neighborhoods like St. Stephen’s Green and Merrion Square. Dublin is fast-paced but never cold—it invites you in.
Travel Tip: Dublin is compact—walk when you can. You’ll see more of its personality that way.
